HUOLONG JIN
Some time ago, the public breathed a collective sigh of relief as a notorious criminal was finally sentenced to life imprisonment. In his time, the brigand left only a legacy of fury and violent distruction, not unlike the flames themselves. Thus, the criminal found himself confined within a boiling prison — a long forgotten chamber in the bowels of a holy mountain. It was perhaps no surprise then, that when the first of the Eight Pillars cracked, and the serpentine dragon god was ousted from his celestial realm, he found himself drawn to take refuge in the soul of this man, whose golden chains endlessly seared at his flesh, and whose hungry gaze threatened to bore a withering hole through the walls of his cell.
Huolong Jin is a brawler, belonging to no school of combat. He is slow moving, but hard hitting. His most powerful tools are his throw specials. Jin's gameplay heavily revolves around using strikes to hold enemies in place to position himself not only for firey throws, but devastating knockdowns. He can use these opportunities to employ the cornerstone technique in his arsenal; a ground-quaking stomp, which will launch foes from a grounded state, ensuring they can't escape their fate.

MEIHUA LIN
At the secluded peak of a holy mountain, lies a hidden monastery where dozens of devotees tirelessly cultivate their bodies and spirits to perfection. One lonely monk however, who despite her tremendous effort, was unable to command herself with the same precision as her peers. She instead redoubled her efforts into meditation, seeking enlightenment. It was by coincidence, or perhaps fate, that the young woman was meditating in the the mountain's waterfall basin when the first of the Eight Pillars began to split — sending the fair goddess of creation and guardian of humanity plummeting from her heavenly palace. Magnetized to the woman's abundance of spirit, the goddess took shelter in the gentle soul of the monk.
Meihua Lin is a practicioner of a mysterious and eclectic art known as the Blossoming Fist. The school blends gentle and passive stopping techniques with harsh "sure-killing" arts, creating a dichotomy fitting of it's floral namesake. Lin's gameplay centers primarily using her walk speed to close in for a flurry of low-damage, but rapid strikes that lead her into an easily executed "tieshankao" that sends enemies sky-high. Lin then transitions to powerful and intricate juggle sequences to finish her foes.
